My first class...
Busby West Public School
(Green Valley) 3B - 1970
1970 - 1972

What a wonderful three years to start off my

teaching career. It amazes me that over four

thousand children  and  37 teaching years later,

I can still remember names... Gary Starr, Stephen

Huckstedt and Tracie Azzopardi.

A wonderful year of Jelly Pads  for duplicating

things and programming slots for every subject

including scripture and poetry every week. Using

inkwells when a new style of handwriting (Itallic Handwriting) came in. I've seen and taught four different handwriting styles through my teaching and none were as fluent or easy to master as that of the 1950's and 60's. 

It's here I realised I loved teaching because I cared for children. I know my caring nature was reciprocated all the way though my teaching career..... something many teachers can't say.
